Vance Lumber in Malone

by John Tylczak
(Shelton, WA)

All the accounts I can find suggest that Vance sold out to Mason County Logging Company (Tom & Joe Bordeaux) in 1924. But I have been through the entire 1924 Daily Olympians looking for a story that would give me the actual date. ...Nothing. Can anybody help me on this one?

The actual date (i.e. Month/Day/1924).., correct?
Me too,
But I just found these links and will be reading them myself... some are court doc's but may offer inside information as to the purchase date...

So, until we find the date, happy reading!

I found these links interesting, as well as factual date oriented information which ties the Mason county, Vance Lumber and Bordeaux (Mumby Lumber) together.,d.bGg

Here's another link (PDF) that will tell you dates but nothing specific I found as yet.,d.bGg

I hope this helps in your quest and I will post when/if I find the actual date
