Associated oil station at 3rd and main

by Lee Dotson
(Satsop)

In around 1945 My father purchased the station. What I remember is the pumps were toward 3rd street then. The town marshal was Jim Foley, and He had a key to the station, and anyone needing gas at night could get it from Him. Also in the empty lot across main street the carnival would set up in the summer. You could also get a burger at the quanset hut where Bettys kitchen is today.

Hi Lee
That's great! Thank you for the information. When you and I talked, you said it was the "Flying A" station, but I didn't ask what the "A" stood for (Associated oil station) so thanks for that too.
